Cybertec came into being in 1989, arising from the engineer Helmut Kirchner’s idea. The decisive factors were his decade-long experience as the Information Systems Manager in the Italian industrial company Ansaldo and his passion for the new production planning technologies.

The idea was to create a scheduling tool able to combine artificial intelligence features with simulation and a powerful graphic interface.
After the first prototype was made, Cybertec as a business reality was set up in 1991.

Research and innovation continuously led to improvements. Tools for the calculation of the MRP materials and CRP capacity needs were developed. GrafComm in Unix environment was created in 1992. In 1996 the first version of CyberPlan in Windows environment was published and in 2005 the CyberPlan Client/Server version was made.

Thanks to the success of the solutions provided and to their wide diffusion, Cybertec in the 1990’s reached an average annual growth of 40% in terms of turnover and staff. The development of new technologies was even faster. Throughout its entire existence Cybertec has always remained faithful to its values and to its mission of helping companies achieve better performances.
